Ron Skeete began his career working on a National Science Foundation grant to replicate effective science and math programs for underrepresented populations. He then spent 11 years progressively improving operations for the Boys & Girls Club of America’s Madison Square organization in New York City, serving over 6,500 youth at seven facilities throughout the city. Ron has been a catalyst for social change as a founding Board Member for the Youth Empowerment Mission, Inc. (a program assisting communities to combat the effects of gang culture) and Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School (a K-8 public school located in Brooklyn). After relocating to Georgia, Ron became the Director of College Success with the Atlanta Education Fund, a local education fund responsible for supporting the reform models of Atlanta Public Schools. He later expanded his impact on youth by accepting the role of Executive Director for Outward Bound Atlanta.
Ron has served as an HTI Catalyst – coaching & facilitating courses – with many HTI partners including Atlanta Public Schools, Boys and Girls Clubs of Chattahoochee Valley and United Way’s Quality Matters. Ron is a certified External Evaluator and Youth Work Methods trainer.
Ron is currently the Territorial Trainer and Assistant Director (Southeast Region) for The Salvation Army.
He is a member of the Georgia Charter School Association and a National Trainer for the Boys & Girls Club of America teaching to clubs across the country.
Ron holds a Master’s of Science in Education as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
