Alvin Glymph is the founder/President of Glymph and Associates, LLC.  He is the co-author of the novel, Tourist in Your Own Town and a non-profit leader in Atlanta, Georgia.

Alvin served as the Director of Evaluation and Partnerships for Project GRAD Atlanta for nine years. He became a staunch advocate for students experiencing postsecondary success and is committed to improving career and college readiness for Georgia’s teens. In acknowledgement of his efforts, he was awarded by the Atlanta Partners for Education 2014 A+ Partnership Award as the Business Partnership Coordinator of the Year by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.  He has worked in partnership with the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Breakthrough Atlanta at the Lovett School, Partnership for Afterschool Education and Communities In Schools of Atlanta.

Alvin is a talk show personality and has been a Hip Hop buff for over three decades.  He has partnered with Fayette, Clayton, and Fulton County Sports and Recreation, Atlanta Public Schools, Hands on Atlanta, Project GRAD Atlanta, Hosea’s Feed the Hungry, and the YWCA. He currently sits on two board of directors, the Brighter DeKalb Foundation and VerbalEyze.


Alvin holds a Masters of Arts from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and a Bachelors of Arts in Religion from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY.
